Martina Werth, 92, Hays, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, at her household.
She was born April 7, 1928, in Hays to August and Anna (Braun) Spies.
She married Ralph J. Werth on Aug. 19, 1946, and they celebrated 44 many years of relationship ahead of he preceded her in death July 14, 1991. She was a homemaker, a cook at Sacred Heart College in Ness Metropolis and Kennedy Middle University, a daycare provider and nanny for doctors’ children, and ironed clothes for health professionals and legal professionals.
She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church and St. Nicholas of Myra Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed to embroider, was a excellent seamstress, a meticulous home cleaner, and appreciated enjoying bingo, slot equipment at casinos, and pinochle with her spouse and children. She also liked singing, gardening, staying outdoors, canning, cooking, and baking. She was a distinction maker who constructed her lifestyle on simplicity, determination to the Lord, and her loved ones.
Survivors contain 6 sons, Vincent Werth, Sr. and spouse, Helen, Munjor, Stephen Werth and spouse, Joyce, Schoenchen, Bernie Werth and spouse, Lona, Andy Werth, and Loran Werth and spouse, Kay, all of Hays, and Darrell Werth and spouse, Jodie, Olathe 8 daughters, Patty Stull and partner, Prosperous Sieker, Hays, Bridget Stenzel and spouse, Lyle, Ness City, Marina Shauers, Wichita, Regina Hutchison and Donnetta Pfeifer and husband, Terry, all of Hays, Geralyn Werth and spouse, Ernie, Schoenchen, Jacqueline Schneider and partner, Mark, Cabot, Ark., and Tina Unrein, Olathe a brother, Invoice Spies and wife, Karen, Arvada, Colo. a sister, Elaine Cisneros, Omaha, Neb. 40 grandchildren 72 good-grandchildren two wonderful-fantastic-grandchildren and a lot of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in dying by her parents, her husband Ralph, two sons: Ralph Werth, Jr. and Ivan Werth, a daughter-in-legislation: Pam Werth, 4 brothers: Celestine Spies, Daniel Spies, Wilfred Spies, and August Spies, Jr., four sisters: Anna Knoll, Glory June Partch, Margaret Billinger, and Abelina Billinger, 3 grandchildren: Trina Shauers, Wendy Stull, and Jeremy Dietz, and a wonderful grandson: Triston Werth.
Companies will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, both at the church.
A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, adopted by a vigil company at 6:30 p.m., both at the church.
